Dr Katie Pattison BHSc (TCM) – Director, Senior Practitioner
Katie Pattison is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Katie undertook her training at the Australian College of Natural Medicine and Endeavour College of Natural Health, where she qualified with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Cert IV in TuiNa massage (Translated as push/pull, utilising Acupuressure points) in 2010.
She also completed an internship in Guanxi China where she practiced at three hospitals to further advance her knowledge and skills in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Katie also has a Blue Card that enables her to work with children and young people.
Katie always knew that she would be working in a field that involved helping people. It was not until she experienced the benefits of Acupuncture herself in 2003 that her interest was sparked in the TCM field. In which she began her own journey in 2004 into the world of preventative medicine.
Katie has a particular interest in women’s health, stress, headaches, emotional disorders and musculoskeletal conditions. In her support of women she incorporates Acupuncture, Chinese TuiNa massage, Cupping, Gua Sha and moxibustion.
She has a natural joy and enthusiasm for life and healing, and believes deeply in the power of education and teaches her clients how to avoid further health problems with life style and dietary guidance.


Dr Zarah Adaniel BHSc (TCM)
Zarah is passionate about helping you achieve your health goals. She is caring and warm. Her passion is helping women and their partners with fertility issues. She also loves working with women in all things women’s health including menstrual or hormonal imbalances and promoting general wellbeing. She was drawn to Chinese medicine because of how it considers the person as a whole. It also helped her deal with her own health issues.
Zarah loves to combine acupuncture with moxibustion, cupping, Tui Na, and Chinese herbal formula. She also believes in calming your nervous system by utilising breath and meditation during your acupuncture treatment. Zarah loves to create a gentle, calming, safe and nurturing environment for your healing to occur while working closely with you to achieve better health long term and to support you throughout your health journey.
Zarah has done extensive further training into fertility; IVF support and how Western medicine treat which combined with her Chinese Medicine training provides a holistic approach to your treatment. She has also done cosmetic acupuncture training, offering Cosmetic Acupuncture Packages & Pregnancy Care Packages
We are so excited to announce that Zarah is also available for other fertility and wellness treatments, including, facials, massage and womb massages.
Zarah believes that each and every one of us is unique and her aim is for all of you to be the best version of yourselves physically, mentally and spiritually.
Carolyn Ellaway Dip HSc (Nut)
Carolyn is Banksia’s “Nutrition Detective”, passionate about working with her clients to create individual nutritional plans to support them back to happy, healthy digestion, energy, and quality of life.
What we eat and drink are two of the biggest needle-movers for regaining and maintaining robust health, starting with the health of our gut microbiome. Fad diets, fad drinks and foods come and go. Carolyn’s approach is backed by nutritional science, with a special interest in gut health including food intolerances and food sensitivities. She is a firm believer that we can all enjoy a positive relationship with food, nourishing and nurturing our body and mind with nutrition that is the right fit for each of us, whatever our life stage.
Carolyn studied a Diploma of Health Science – Nutrition, at the Australian College of Natural Medicine Brisbane, and upon graduation in 2005 was presented with the Award for Excellence in Nutritional Medicine. She has been an accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) since 2005 and in recognition for her long-standing commitment to nutritional medicine, was awarded the title of Fellow of ATMS in 2020.
Carolyn has a wealth of information to share with her clients, believing that when we know better, we can do better. Experience has demonstrated that small, manageable steps build the best road to success. Collaborating with her clients to create these steps is a key priority, so that action steps are appropriate and can easily become a habit and part of your routine. Carolyn follows her passion for Food as Medicine alongside raising a family and appreciates the challenges we face to maintain balance and fit wholesome nutrition into our busy lives.
